Dental Implant Cost London | From £2,950 Per Implant | South Kensington
Transparent dental implant cost in London: single implant + crown from £2,950. CT scan £150. Bone grafting & sinus lifts quoted separately. CQC-regulated, GDC-registered. 0% finance available. Call 020 7183 0755.
If you are researching the cost of dental implants in London, a single headline price almost never tells the full story. The fee depends on whether you need one tooth replaced or a full arch, how much bone you have, whether grafting or a sinus lift is required, and which implant system is appropriate for your case. At Cosmetic Dentistry Clinic in South Kensington (SW7), our implant fees are openly published, every plan is confirmed in writing before treatment, and implants are placed by GDC-registered clinicians in our CQC-regulated clinic.

Dental Implant Fees in Detail
Implant treatment is priced by component because each case is genuinely different — the implant itself, the crown on top, any preparatory surgery, and the 3D imaging all carry their own time, materials, and laboratory costs. Our pricing structure separates these out openly so you can see exactly what you are paying for.

Dental implants, bone grafting, sinus lifts, All-on-4/All-on-6, and full-mouth rehabilitation are excluded from the Privilege Programme membership discount and are quoted individually after a clinical assessment. Membership (from £20/month) is optional and is not required to receive treatment.
Indicative Total Cost by Case Type
Most implant enquiries fall into one of a few recognisable patterns. The figures below are indicative starting totals so you can quickly understand the likely investment range — your written plan will give your exact cost.
| Case Type | What's Typically Involved | Indicative From |
|---|---|---|
| 1 tooth — straightforward | CT scan, 1 implant + crown, no grafting | from £3,100 |
| 1 tooth — with extraction | CT, extraction, 1 implant + crown | from £3,450 |
| 1 tooth — with bone graft | CT, 1 implant + crown, localised graft | from £3,600 |
| 2 implants supporting a 3-tooth bridge | CT, 2 implants, 3-unit implant-bridge | Quoted individually |
| Upper arch — All-on-4 / All-on-6 | CT, 4–6 implants, full fixed arch, often same-day temporary | Quoted individually |
| Full-mouth rehabilitation | Both arches, often staged over months | Quoted individually |
Indicative figures only — your exact total depends on bone quality and quantity, any preparatory work required, implant system chosen, sedation requirements, and whether temporary teeth are needed during healing. Final fees are confirmed in writing before any treatment begins.
What Determines Your Final Implant Fee?
Implant pricing varies more than most dental treatments — and for good clinical reasons. The honest factors that move the figure are:
1. Number of implants
One implant + one crown is the simplest case. Multiple implants, bridges, or All-on-4/6 involve more surgery, more lab work, and more chairside time.
2. Bone volume and quality
If the bone has resorbed because the tooth has been missing for years, a bone graft or sinus lift may be needed before — or at the same time as — implant placement.
3. Whether the tooth is still present
A surgical extraction at the time of implant placement adds cost, but often saves a second visit and preserves the socket.
4. Implant system used
We use established, evidence-based systems (such as Straumann/Neodent). Premium systems carry higher component costs but have decades of published clinical data behind them.
5. Crown material
Zirconia and high-translucency ceramic crowns cost more than basic options but match natural teeth far more convincingly in the aesthetic zone.
6. Sedation or general anaesthesia
Most implants are placed comfortably under local anaesthetic. Conscious sedation is available for anxious patients and is quoted separately.

Charged separately
- Initial implant consultation (£95 / Member £47.50)

- Replacement crown in the future (typically many years later)
Implant vs Bridge vs Denture: Honest Cost Comparison
A dental implant is rarely the cheapest option on day one — but it is often the most cost-effective option over a 20+ year period. Here is a balanced view:
| Factor | Single Implant | Fixed Bridge | Partial Denture |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starting fee (CDC) | from £2,950 | from ~£1,100 / unit | Lower upfront cost |
| Typical lifespan | 15–25+ years for the implant | 10–15 years | 5–8 years before remake |
| Affects neighbouring teeth? | No | Yes — adjacent teeth are prepared | Clasps may stress adjacent teeth |
| Bone preservation | Yes — stimulates bone | No — bone continues to resorb | No — bone continues to resorb |
| Removable? | No (fixed) | No (fixed) | Yes (removed for cleaning) |
Lifespan ranges are general estimates based on published clinical data; actual longevity depends on bite, oral hygiene, smoking, general health, and attendance at hygiene/maintenance appointments. We do not guarantee a specific lifespan for any restoration.
What Implants Will — and Won't — Do
A clear expectation of outcomes is part of compliant implant dentistry. Here is the honest version:
Implants can typically:
- Replace single or multiple missing teeth without involving neighbouring teeth
- Stabilise loose dentures (implant-retained overdentures)
- Restore a full arch of teeth on 4–6 implants (All-on-4/6)
- Help preserve jawbone where a tooth is missing
- Restore chewing function and pronunciation
Implants are not suitable for everyone:
- Active gum disease must be treated and stabilised first
- Uncontrolled diabetes, heavy smoking, and certain medications increase the risk of failure
- Some patients need bone grafting or sinus lifts before implants can be safely placed
- Patients still growing (under ~18) are usually advised to wait
- Where a tooth can be saved by a crown, root canal, or other restoration, that is often the more conservative choice
Published clinical success rates for dental implants in suitable, well-maintained patients are typically reported in the 95%+ range over 10 years. However, no implant is guaranteed for life and outcomes depend on individual biology, lifestyle, and ongoing maintenance.
How Your Written Implant Quote Is Prepared
Step 1 — Implant consultation (£95)
A GDC-registered clinician examines your teeth, gums, and bite, reviews your medical history, and discusses what you would like to achieve.
Step 2 — 3D imaging (£150)
A CBCT scan shows the exact density of your bone, the position of nerves, and the shape of your sinus. We plan the implant position virtually before surgery.
Step 3 — Written treatment plan & quote
You receive a written, itemised plan showing the proposed number of implants, any grafting or sinus lift required, crown material, the surgical and restorative fees, and the schedule of payments.
Step 4 — Alternatives explained
If a bridge, a denture, or saving the original tooth would give a better outcome in your case, we will tell you — even if the implant fee would have been higher.
Ways to Pay
Staged payments
Implant treatment is naturally staged. Payments are typically split across the surgical visit and the crown fit visit, so you are not paying everything up front.
0% finance over 12 months
Eligible implant plans can be spread over 12 months at 0% APR Representative through our FCA-authorised lender. Longer terms with interest are also available.
Card, bank transfer & Apple Pay
All major payment methods accepted. Itemised receipts are provided for every payment for your records or insurance claim.
Finance is subject to status and provided by an FCA-authorised third-party lender. Cosmetic Dentistry Clinic acts as a credit broker, not a lender. Dental implants, bone grafts, sinus lifts, All-on-4/6 and full-mouth rehabilitation are excluded from the Privilege Programme membership discount. See our finance options page for representative examples and full terms.
Risks & Limitations You Should Know
In line with GDC and ASA standards, we do not present implant treatment as risk-free. Before agreeing to implants you should understand:
- Implants can fail. The body sometimes does not integrate the implant. Published failure rates are low (typically a few percent) but not zero.
- Surgical risks. As with any minor oral surgery, there is a small risk of bleeding, infection, swelling, bruising, and — rarely — nerve or sinus involvement. We minimise these risks with 3D planning.
- Peri-implantitis. Implants can develop gum and bone inflammation around them, similar to gum disease around natural teeth, if oral hygiene and hygiene appointments are not maintained.
- Healing time. A typical case involves 3–6 months of healing between implant placement and crown fitting. Same-day teeth are sometimes possible but not always clinically advisable.
- Smoking and certain conditions. Smoking, uncontrolled diabetes, and some medications significantly increase the risk of implant failure and may make treatment inadvisable.
- Not always the best option. Where a natural tooth can realistically be saved, or where a bridge or denture is a better fit for your circumstances, we will recommend that instead.

Frequently Asked Questions about Dental Implant Cost
How much does a single dental implant cost in London?
At Cosmetic Dentistry Clinic, a single implant including the zirconia crown starts from £2,950. A CT scan (£150) and any extraction, bone graft, or sinus lift are charged separately. A typical straightforward single-implant case therefore starts from around £3,100 including imaging.
How much do 2 dental implants cost?
Two single implants with crowns start from approximately £5,900. If the two implants are used to support a 3- or 4-tooth bridge, the case is quoted individually based on the bridge design and materials.
How much does All-on-4 or All-on-6 cost?
Full-arch fixed treatments such as All-on-4 and All-on-6 are quoted individually after a clinical assessment and CBCT scan. The fee reflects the number of implants, the bridge material (acrylic, zirconia, or ceramic), and whether any grafting is required. These treatments are excluded from the Privilege Programme membership discount.
Is the consultation free?
An implant consultation is £95 (Member £47.50) and includes examination, X-rays as clinically required, discussion of options, and a written quote. The CBCT 3D scan is charged separately at £150.
Are dental implants on the Privilege Programme?
Dental implants, bone grafting, sinus lifts, All-on-4/6, and full-mouth rehabilitation are excluded from the Privilege Programme membership discount. They are quoted individually after assessment. Members do however benefit on related costs such as surgical extractions and CBCT imaging.
Why are some London implant clinics cheaper?
Lower headline prices often reflect unbranded implant components, no 3D imaging, less chairside time, or bundled fees that exclude grafting and abutments. We are explicit about which system we use, what is included, and what is not. Cost should always be compared on a like-for-like basis.
Can I pay monthly?
Yes. Eligible implant plans can be spread over 12 months at 0% APR Representative through our FCA-authorised finance partner. Longer terms with interest are also available. Finance is subject to status; Cosmetic Dentistry Clinic acts as a credit broker, not a lender.
How long do dental implants last?
Published clinical studies report success rates of around 95%+ at 10 years for well-maintained implants in suitable patients. Many implants last 15–25+ years, though the crown on top may need replacing earlier. Individual results vary and we do not guarantee a specific lifespan.
Are dental implants available on the NHS?
Dental implants are only available on the NHS in very limited clinical circumstances. Our implants are provided privately. If you have a clinical need that may qualify for NHS care, we will say so.
Do you offer 0% finance for All-on-4?
0% finance over 12 months is available on eligible plans, including larger implant cases. Longer terms with representative interest are also available. The exact monthly figure is calculated against the written treatment plan.
Will I be without a tooth during healing?
In most cases, no. We typically provide a temporary tooth (a "flipper", bridge, or temporary crown) so you never have a visible gap during the healing phase. In selected cases an "immediate" temporary tooth can be fitted on the implant on the day of surgery.
